FrogStop creates a physical barrier at the fold crease at the spot where a closed cover meets the tub's rim, and the most common point for gaps to form. The install itself takes minutes. The one thing to confirm first is orientation: the cover needs to open front-to-back, directly over the control panel, so the crease lands on open, solid rim. Once that's confirmed, the rest is a straightforward peel-and-place.

Start with four reference points
Stand where you normally operate the spa and identify these four features:
The primary control panel. For this guide, that side is the front of the hot tub.
The rear of the hot tub, directly opposite the controls.
The hinge running through the center of the folded cover.
The direction the first half of the cover lifts and folds.
You're looking for one thing: does the cover lift directly over the control panel? If yes, you're already set up right.
Why front-to-back is the design
Every hot tub needs a cutout in the rim to house the control panel, that's just how the shell is built. When the cover opens front-to-back, the fold crease runs clear of that cutout and lands on solid, uninterrupted rim on either side. That's exactly the surface FrogStop needs for a clean seal.
